We also had the fried corn and the fried squid which we enjoyed but maybe slightly less. Service was very friendly and the location is beautiful though you do have to contend with some very annoying seagulls if you want to eat with a lake view."

"great food and kind owners...i was caught in the rain after a run and upon taking my orders, the kind owner offered to let me shelter in her van while i waited!! food portion was huge and every bite was absolutely delightful. salad had a nice crunch and was fresh! loved it...5 stars quality definitely! give them a try if you are along Lake Tekapo...very worth it!"

"The moment I saw the owners were (I think) Japanese, I knew the food will be good! The line forms up really quickly, with everyone rushing to the trailer the moment they turn into the carpark. I was about #5 in the line and waited for about 20 min for store to open and another 30 min to get my food after ordering. So be prepared to wait and have late lunch (they open at 1pm). Happy to report all the food was worth the wait though. This might be the best fish and chips I ever had, it even beats Gordon Ramsay’s imo. The batter’s crunch just hits different from typical F&C, squid was wonderfully marinated and the pop mushrooms were also an interesting take. Love that all of them come with a side of coleslaw, cuz it would have been too greasy otherwise. Portions were also huge and prices were extremely reasonable, a steal I might say. Can you bring this to Singapore?"

"All I can say is amazing! Amazing! Amazing! We got the regular fried fish and chips and the batter. Yes it is better. The fries were nice and hot with great seasoning and the coleslaw with the citrus dressing was the absolute bomb! For only $20.50 you get a full meal and it also includes tartar sauce. Would highly recommend. The only thing that is annoying is of course the seagulls however that has nothing to do with better batter."

"Great little food truck by the water! They are often really busy, so plan accordingly. It took about 30 minutes to get our food and it was solid fish and chips. We sat in our tailgate facing the lake and had dinner with a view. A single order can feed 1 very hungry person or 2 people."

"Great food with a breathtaking view! The food was delicious from the light and crispy batter to the coleslaw! The portion sizes are decent for the price. The Korean couple who own the food truck are very sweet and candid about the wait time before you order. We had to wait an hour for our food but it was worth it! We ordered and then went grocery shopping (2 minutes away by car and 7 minutes by foot). By the time we were done our food was ready. Be careful because the gulls will try to steal your food when you’re walking back to your car!"

"Almost gave up on trying out this food truck with amazing reviews, but chanced upon it after stopping by on our way out from the hike as we stopped to enjoy the view.  while our first choice would be fish and chips, i did have an allergy last night so we skipped it and went for the next best option which turned out to be really amazing! It was very tender and fresh, and many customers actually ordered that too, which i supposed was as popular as their fish and chips! The portion was really huge as well, definitely very well worth the money at this price point We did end up dining inside our cars due to the seagulls, where we saw many customers do as well - which allows us to enjoy the view and breeze without fearing the seagulls. Definitely a spot that we will be hard pressed not to return on our way back given the amazing views and food!"
